ICT Training Programme: Introduction

The Centre is responsible for the rapidly expanding demand for training and research in the information and communication sectores as South Africa attempts to position itself effectively in the flobal economy while meeting the needs of a developing country on an underdeveloped continent. Currently there are no other insitutions in South Africa bringing together skills in management, technology and social policy in the information and communication sector.

High level skills are developed through a combination of training and applied research activities. The Centre aims to produce world class professionals who are able to exercise vision, leadership and executive management capability in the introduction and appliication of information and communications technologies in public insitutions (both governmental and non-governmental).
