    COURT PROCEEDINGS:
    Third Cellular Licence

Nextcom, one of the unsuccessful bidders for the third cellular licence, has brought an urgent application in the High Court for an interdict order preventing the Minister from granting Cell C the third cellular licence pursuant to SATRA's recommendation. On 11 July 2000, the court postponed the hearing to 14 July 2000 in order to, among other things, enable Cell C to deliver its opposing affidavit. The court also ordered the Minister not to grant Cell C the licence pending its decision in the matter.
